NCoS OBSERVES 2025 CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK NATIONWIDE.

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has joined the rest of the world in marking the 2025 Customer Service Week, a global celebration recognizing service excellence and customer care.


The weeklong event features awareness campaigns, roadwalk, and talk presentations aimed at promoting professionalism, empathy, and improved service delivery within the Service.


During a special staff lecture, a talk presentation was made by a guest speaker from Servicom, Dr. Ben Onche Olofu, the Servicom Team Lead (B), who represented the Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM from the Presidency, Mr. Gbenga Anthony Oshin. He delivered a talk on the theme “Mission Impossible,” inspiring officers to uphold the highest standards of public service.


Declaring the event open, the Controller-General of Corrections Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, who was represented by Assistant Controller General Human Resources, Jaiyeoba Bamidele Rotimi reaffirmed NCoS’s commitment to quality service, reformation, and reintegration of offenders, while commending officers for their dedication to duty.


In her welcome remarks, the head of Servicom Unit, Nkechi Orjiako, Controller of Corrections, who was represented by Chief Superintendent of Corrections, Olaide Alade appreciated staff for their dedication to duty and called for more professionalism and respect for dignity in service delivery. 


Also in attendance were; the Director Reforms Coordination and Service Improvement, Ministry of Interior; Mrs Gloria Vera C. Azoro, CEO (SERVICOM) Ministry of Interior; Mr Hassan Hassan and Mr Duruba Sesugh, Desk Officer for Team B, SERVICOM Office from Presidency. 


The weeklong event is marked by activities across commands nationwide, coordinated by the Servicom Unit, NCoS Headquarter, Abuja.
