CG NCoS JOINS NATIONAL LEADERS AT INTER-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH SERVICE MARKING NIGERIA AT 65.

The Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, MFR, mni, joined top government Executives, Service Chiefs, Heads of Paramilitary agencies, members of the Diplomatic Corps and other dignitaries at the inter-denominational church service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.


The solemn service, which brought together leaders from across the nation, was held in thanksgiving to God for Nigeria’s journey since independence and as a moment of prayers for peace, unity, and national prosperity.


In his remarks on behalf of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, thanked the Armed Forces and Paramilitary Services for their sacrifice, resilience and dedication. He also emphasized the need for renewed patriotism, unity of purpose, and collective responsibility by all Nigerians in advancing the nation’s growth and stability.


The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, CON, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating God’s grace upon the nation and reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to building a secure and prosperous country for all citizens.


The Controller-General’s participation in the historic service reflects the Nigerian Correctional Service’s continuous alignment with national values and its mandate of reformation, rehabilitation, and reintegration of offenders for the betterment of society.
